The PSAI like all organisations has had to adapt to the COVID19 pandemic, which means a physical big meet up conference is just not possible this year.
The GOOD news is that has not deterred this year’s innovative organising committee [Shane Reynolds, UL; Lisa Keenan, TCD; Johan A. Elkink, UCD] from putting together an impressive virtual annual conference that will be online from 9 in the morning of Friday October 9th to six o’clock on Saturday 10th.
There will be over 60 papers delivered across 16 panels covering a very wide range range of topics and of course the PSAI AGM on Saturday evening from 16.30-1800hrs.
Of note and not to be missed is the high profile roundtable on Global Ireland, Friday Oct 9th 14-15,30hrs, with some very impressive speakers: Niall Burgess (SG, DFAT); Prof. Katy Hayward (QUB); Prof.Brigid Laffan (EUI); Dan O’Brien (IIEA), and chaired by Prof. Ben Tonra (UCD).
You can find the detailed programme at: http://www.psai2020.com/ and any queries can be followed up by emailing: firstname.lastname@example.org
Please do TWO things!
- Support the PSAI by logging on for as many of the sessions as you can and fix these dates in your diaries. We all need to keep in touch even more now given the impact of COVID19.
2. Distribute and circulate this event to all your colleagues, students and networks and welcome them onboard!
So get your Zoom settings fine-tuned, your background of scholarly tomes aligned just right, and your headphones lined up. See you all then!
