The call for papers for the 40th PSAI annual conference are now open. The conference will be held between the 14th and 16th October 2022 in the College Street Campus of Waterford IT. 

Panel and paper proposals from all areas of the discipline are welcomed, with particular emphasis on, but not necessarily confined to the politics of the island of Ireland and related areas. As this is the 40th anniversary of the PSAI, papers reflecting on this milestone are especially welcome. 

Submissions are to be emailed to psaiconference2022@gmail.com. This should included the following details:

– Paper title,
– Author name(s) and affiliation(s),
– Professional status (PhD student, postdoc, lecturer, professor, independent scholar etc.),
– Summary of the proposed paper (no more than 200 words).

It is preferable that abstracts are emailed as a word or pdf attachment.

Panel proposals require a full list of papers, with authors and abstracts as regular paper submissions, with of course details on panel title and chair. The conference organisers reserve the final say in the allocation of accepted papers to panels. Panel organisers are asked to ensure that appropriate attention is given to balance in respect of gender and stage in career development.

The deadline for submissions is the 30th June 2022. 

Notification of paper and panel acceptances will be given in early August. Abstracts will be published on the conference website and in the conference programme.
